International Women's Rights Day
To celebrate March 8th, we highlight two inspiring women with unique backgrounds : an independent winemaker, Christine Sévillano and a painter and visual artist, Stéphanie Daverdon, united by a passion for creation and the audacity to break the codes.

A word from the artist, Stéphanie Daverdon :
“Through my work of fusing materials with cartographic and figurative elements, I seek to highlight our relationship to the land, in the large sense of the term, as well as to our origins.
For me, this is a way of questioning ourselves about more societal and environmental notions.”

The Rebelle, 100% Chardonnay
Marianne proudly shows up a bottle of champagne as an allegory of strength and determination that leads people towards freedom. This first woman emerged from Christine Sévillano's mind. The choice was obvious: she's certainly the best-known revolutionary woman in France and the world.
The Impertinente, 100% Pinot Noir
Mistress, then friend and confidante of King Louis XV, the Marquise de Pompadour, a fine political strategist, is shown here with a coupe in her hand, said to be molded on her breast. This figure was proposed by Stéphanie Daverdon.
The Provocante, 100% Meunier
It is said that one night, while La Goulue was dancing the French Cancan at the Moulin Rouge, she caught sight of the Prince of Wales, and it was with her legendary Parisian glibness that she asked him for champagne, her elixir of youth ! Thanks to brainstorming between Christine, her assistant Héloise and Stéphanie, it's Héloise who finds the last essential woman in this series: Louise Weber, a woman who has taken a bite out of life and all its epicurean pleasures.
